Butterfly Nomad

Recyclable

The Nomad Butterfly System can be recycled again to make new paper products of similar quality, avoiding once again the landfill. Existing recycling infrastructures for collecting and re-using cardboard are fairly common which makes it easy for our customers to close the recycling loop, save trees, save energy, and have an impact.

Renewable

This product is made from wood fibers, so the raw material is a renewable resource. Because the forests from which the paper is made are responsibly harvested and managed, they are replenished with minimal impact on the environment.

Recycled Content

The fiber content of the Nomad System is collected from manufacturers of paper products (pre-consumer waste) and paper collected from homes and offices through recycling programs (post-consumer waste). The product’s recycled content diverts waste from landfills and reduces the ecological footprint required to make the kraft paper used in the Nomad System's double-wall corrugated structure.

Design

Reconfigurable modules provide a low impact alternative for temporary walls and transient lifestyles.

Origin

Made in the United States. Manufacturing locations were selected for their proximity to our studio as well as for their practices and labor conditions.

In the closed configuration, one pack creates a 3 ft x 4.5 ft (1 x 1.4 m) section.

In the open configuration, one pack creates a 4.5 ft x 4.5 ft (1.4 x 1.4 m) section.

Materials

Formaldehyde-free particleboard made from independently certified 100 percent pre-consumer recycled wood fibers. Doors and panels made from laser-cut, powder-coated steel.

Dust regularly, avoid using any liquids or water to clean Nomad. Some stains or marks can be removed with a soft eraser. Avoid contact with the mop by moving modules away when cleaning.
