Recyclable
PaperForms can be recycled to make new paper products of similar quality. Existing recycling infrastructures for collecting and re-using paper are fairly common, which makes it easy for our customers to close the recycling loop, save trees, save energy and have an impact.
Recycled Content
The fiber content of PaperForms is collected from manufacturers of paper products (pre-consumer waste) and paper collected from homes and offices through recycling programs (post-consumer waste). These materials require less energy to produce and transport than virgin fibers do, which lowers the ecological footprint of PaperForms.
Closed loop manufacturing
In the context of sustainability, closed loop manufacturing refers to production processes wherein no waste is emitted; all resources can be put back into the production process. Although there are very few examples of completely waste-free manufacturing, the paper molding industry works on this principle by recycling the water used in the molding process and the paper products that are not to specifications. This eliminates most of the water and paper waste from the production process.
Design
PaperForms are designed as modules so customers can use and replace the surface coverings selectively, eliminating unnecessary use and waste over the product’s life cycle. In addition, the tiles are designed to nest, which reduces the energy required to ship them.
Origin
All PaperForms are made from locally sourced materials. PaperForms sold in the U.S. market are made in the United States or Mexico. Manufacturing locations are selected for their manufacturing practices and labor conditions.
