PlasticForms Wallpaper Tiles

Tiles may be mounted temporarily or permanently. For temporary installations, use removable double-sided tapes such as 3M Command Adhesives or Velcro tape. For permanent installation, we recommend using polyurethane construction adhesives such as Loctite PL Premium or equivalent.

To protect your walls use removable mounting tape such as 3M® Command Adhesives. Other mounting tapes work well too but may damage your walls. If protecting wall finishes is not a concern these other options work well too:

Scotch® Exterior Mounting Tape 4011.
This tape is designed for attaching items up to five pounds to virtually any smooth surface. It is weather-resistant and even works on rough outdoor surfaces such as brick or stucco.

Scotch® Heavy Duty Mounting Tape 114
A. This general-purpose, double-side adhesive foam tape mounts light to medium weight objects onto both horizontal and vertical surfaces. Tape conforms to a variety of surfaces.

Scotch® Mounting Tape 110. This double-coated foam tape adheres and conforms to a variety of surfaces.

Scotch® Removable Mounting Tape 4012. This
double-stick foam tape is designed for attaching items up to two pounds to a variety of smooth surfaces such as walls and doors. Works on wood, glass, tile, metal cabinets, and semi-gloss painted walls.

We recommend using polyurethane construction adhesives such as Loctite PL Premium or equivalent.

Yes, PlasticForms can be painted. A specialty plastic primer is required for this product. We recommend using Rust-Oleum® Specialty Plastic Primer Spray or equivalent. Follow primer instructions and let coatings dry completly before using other finishes.

The tiles are water-resistant and may be cleaned with non abrasive cleaners or a damp cloth, however PlasticForms have not been designed or tested for outdoor use or in applications where they will be continually exposed to water and the elements.

PlasticForms are fairly resilient. However, they can be crushed if they are kicked, punched, stepped on or bumped into with heavier objects. The tiles will last longer in lower traffic areas installed above waist height, on ceilings or as accents where they will not be constantly handled. If tiles are damaged, the modular application allows replacement of individual tiles.

Yes. PlasticForms are hollow.

Tiles may be cut with a utility knife, scissors or power tools. For best results, we suggest ending patterns at the ceiling level where cutting imperfections are less noticeable. Another option is to center patterns so that no cutting is necessary. In this case, you may want to paint the visible edges.

Commercial tiles with an ASTM E 84 Class A rating are available by special order. Please contact us for more details.

Each box of PalsticForms has 12 tiles. Each tile is 12” x 12” (one square foot). We have a calculator on the product page right here. All you need is the length and width of the wall you wish to install them on in feet.

PlasticForms can be cleaned with mild cleaners and a soft sponge or towel. Do not use abrasive chemicals or sponges to prevent damage to the tiles.

Nomad System Felt

Each box of Nomad System Felt has 10 modules that make up a wall section that is 5 or 7 square feet depending on the assembly. We have a calculator on the product page right here. All you need is the length and height of the wall you wish to build in feet.

The closed assembly creates a wall without any openings, the open assembly creates stepped openings on the wall. The open configuration is designed for an airier and more open barrier where privacy is not critical.

Nomad System Felt pro is fire rated ASTM E84 Class A, while Nomad System Felt is fire rated ASTM E84 Class C. They are both manufactured in the same way and offer acoustics and durability. Some environments require different fire ratings.

Nomad System Felt is made from recycled plastic that has been turned into a felt.

Walls are 14 inches wide making them stable in everyday settings. If the walls will be in a high traffic area where they may be bumped into, we recommended that they be longer than 8 feet. Longer walls tend to be more stable. Walls can also be set up with corners or supports if needed or required.

Walls can be safely built to any length in the right environment. We recommend walls not exceed 20 feet tall without additional support.

Nomad System Felt is made out of easy to clean polyester felt. Vacuum regularly. If a stain occurs remove staining material carefully and then spot clean with a damp cloth using warm water. If stain persists use a mild soap and rinse with warm water. Modules can be washed in a sink with warm water but must be left to dry completely. Do not use harsh chemicals or bleach solutions in high concentrations. If unsure please contact us.

Nomad is designed for sound absorption, attenuation and diffusion. However, Nomad System felt will not create a perfectly sealed acoustic environment. Nomad can be used to reduce echo, improve sound intelligibility and reduce the volume in a space effectively.

Nomad System (Cardboard)

Each box of Nomad System has 24 modules that make up a wall section that is 14 or 20 square feet depending on the assembly. We have a calculator on the product page right here. All you need is the length and height of the wall you wish to build in feet.

The closed assembly creates a wall without any openings, the open assembly creates stepped openings on the wall. The open configuration is designed for an airier and more open barrier where privacy is not critical.

Nomad System is made from double wall corrugated cardboard.

Walls are 15 inches wide making them stable in everyday settings.

No. Modules can be ordered fire rated by special order. You may also want to look at Nomad System felt which is fire rated AST E84 Class A.

Nomad System is very durable. We have seen installations that last many years. Cardboard is vastly underrated for its durability and strength. If a module is damaged the modular nature of the design allows for easy replacement. Do keep in mind that printed paper products fade with time.

Nomad System should be vacuumed regularly. Some marks can be removed with a soft eraser, but liquid stains are usually permanent. Module replacement is the best option.

FeltForms

Each box of FeltForms has 4 modules that cover 16 square feet. We have a calculator on the product page right here. All you need is the length and height/width of the wall or ceiling you wish to cover in feet.

We recommend using Liquid Nails Fuze It polymer adhesive on the perimeter and throughout the surface in contact with the wall. Do not place adhesive too close to the edge of tiles on the visible perimeter of your installation to prevent the glue from squeezing out. You may also use the adhesive tape included with the tiles. Install the tape unto the tiles first securing them with a roller for proper adhesion. Mark you wall and install them pressing firmly to ensure good contact between the tiles, tape and wall surface. APPLY TAPE TO TILES FIRST.

FeltForms tiles are made from recycled plastic that has been turned into a felt.

FeltForms are designed to last in high traffic environments. Quad and Twist are hollow tiles, but they are structural and long lasting. If bumping with heavy equipment or carts is a concern, we recommend using a pattern like Deco or installing tiles at eye level.

FeltForms are made out of easy to clean polyester felt. Vacuum stain first and then spot clean with a damp cloth using warm water. If stain persists use a mild soap and rinse with warm water. Do not use harsh chemicals or bleach solutions in high concentrations. If unsure, please contact us.

All of our ceiling tiles fit into a Standard 1" (15 ⁄ 16" face) ceiling grid.

Yes. All FeltForms are fire rated ASTM E84 Class A.

FeltForms are designed to absorb sound in a room. However, they will not create a perfectly sealed acoustic environment. FeltForms can be used to reduce echo, improve sound intelligibility and reduce the volume in a space effectively. They will not block the sound of neighbors or loud sounds coming from outside of a room.

FoldScapes

Each box of FoldScapes has 24 tiles that cover 96 square feet. We have a calculator on the product page right here. All you need is the length and width of ceiling you wish to cover or a tile count based on an installed grid.

FoldScapes are made from corrugated cardboard

No. FoldScapes can be ordered fire rated by special order. They have been approved by fire marshals in certain settings as decorative ceiling covers.

Given that most ceiling tiles are rarely handled once installed, cardboard is sufficiently durable for the application. In comparison to mineral fiber tiles, FoldScapes will warp and show damage from moisture more quickly but will otherwise be comparable.

Dusty ceiling tiles can be vacuumed. Some light marks can be removed with a soft eraser, but liquid stains are usually permanent. Tile replacement is the best option.

Flip Stools

Yes. Flip Stools are made from powder-coated aluminum and ash which is suitable for outdoor use. Products used outdoors in uncovered environments have a reduced limited warranty of 2 years.

Bendant lamp

We recommend bending the lamp once and adjusting it to your liking. The lamp can be bent one more times before signs of strain are visible on the paint and metal.
