QuiltForms ceiling baffles are the only sustainable, modular acoustic quilts designed to reduce noise and echo, enhancing the sound quality of work and living spaces with high ceilings or open plans. With eight complementary shapes, ten fabric colors and six fashionable stitch patterns, QuiltForms offers a dynamic palette for residential and commercial acoustic ceiling projects. Triangles have an N.R.C. starting at 0.45 making them acoustically flexible. Their shape is a great fit for deep spaces, irregular patterning and a layered look. Transform the look and improve the sound of meeting rooms, work spaces, lobbies, coffee shops, restaurants or any other echo, reverb or noise filled space you want to quiet down. Responsibly made in the US from recycled plastic bottles (rPET) and thoughtfully manufactured to create warm sounding environments, we have taken the beauty and craft of quilting to new heights. Installation is a breeze with easy to mount hardware options, including tracks, eyelets and connectors designed to hang baffle modules to exiting 15/16” ceiling grids. We love creative people like you, so if none of these module shapes, fabrics, patterns or hanging options fit your project, contact us! We might just be able to tailor QuiltForms to your specifications.

Modular and Flexible Design
Easily configurable into screens, temporary walls, or creative displays without damaging walls.
Customizable Setup
Adaptable to various space requirements in both closed and open configurations.
Locally Sourced
Locally SourcedProducts or materials extracted, processed or manufactured within 100 miles from the point of distribution. We strive to manufacture all of our products in the Philadelphia tri-state area (over 70% of our collection meets this criteria). All of our products are made in the US with the majority of the material extraction also taking place within the continental US.
Recyclable
RecyclableThe ability to process used materials or products into new products or raw materials of equal or better quality, preventing the waste of potentially useful resources.
Recycled Content
Recycled ContentProducts or materials made from resources that would otherwise have been discarded during initial production (pre-consumer) or after end of life (post-consumer).
Efficient Packaging
Efficient PackagingProducts and services delivered with limited or no packaging or designed to nest, flat-pack or otherwise collapse to minimize the transportation carbon footprint. There are numerous ways to provide efficient packaging in the context of product design including through the use of biodegradable and curbside recyclable packaging materials such as cardboard and molded pulp. At MIO we strive to eliminate non-recyclable packaging and design products for efficient transportation from factories and to our customers.
Design Aikido
Design AikidoThe use of existing infrastructure and resources with built-in environmental and social advantages to create alternative markets to incentivize material, process and behavioral changes.
Closed Loop Manufacturing
Closed Loop ManufacturingA production processes where no waste is emitted and where all resources can be put back into the production process to create products of better or equal quality. Even though there are very few examples of completely waste-free manufacturing processes today, several industries operate with this principle by recycling and reusing materials and resources within their processes.
QuiltForms Acoustic Wall Art offers sound-absorbing modular decor inspired by soft goods and fashion. Merging the craftsmanship and texture of textiles with bold, modern aesthetics, they effectively reduce noise and dampen echo. Easily mounted with Velcro tabs, they’re perfect for accent walls, large installations, or striking statement pieces, seamlessly uniting creativity and acoustic performance.
Sound behaves differently depending on the surfaces it encounters—soft, porous materials absorb it, while hard surfaces like glass and concrete reflect it, creating echoes and amplifying noise. Absorption occurs when sound waves are captured rather than bounced back, converting excess noise into thermal energy. Our solutions, from acoustic curtains to fabric-covered screens and sound-absorbing wall panels, are designed to counterbalance reflective surfaces, reducing reverberation and shaping a more comfortable, harmonious soundscape.
Attenuation
Attenuation reduces sound transmission by using barriers to block, redirect, or diffuse noise before it spreads. It works by interrupting sound waves with solid or porous materials, preventing them from traveling freely and reducing overall noise levels. By strategically placing dividers, attenuation helps create separate acoustic zones, limiting distractions and enhancing privacy. Our solutions—acoustic partitions, fabric-covered screens, and modular sound panels—help shape quieter, more focused environments in open offices, shared workspaces, and other busy settings.
Good Design is Sustainable Design
Together, we are helping build a new culture of sustainability and a more responsible economy.
Frequently Asked Questions
How much sound will Quiltforms block out?
QuiltForms absorb and diffuse sound, helping reduce echo and noise while improving sound clarity, though they don't create fully sealed acoustic environments.
How do I clean the modules?
Vacuum regularly, and for spot cleaning, gently dab with warm water and a damp cloth. Avoid scrubbing to protect the felt. For deeper stains, use mild soap. In healthcare settings, a 1:10 bleach solution can be applied, then rinse with water. Always dab instead of scrubbing to maintain the texture and integrity of the fabric.
How do I install Quiltforms Wall Art?
Each order comes with enough Velcro to install around the perimeter of the modules. Follow the installation instructions for best results. We recommend steaming modules to remove wrinkles from transit. For larger arrangements, you may connect multiple quilts using our clips and tracks.
What are the modules made of?
Quiltforms are crafted from recycled plastic bottles (rPET) that are turned into felt and quilted.
